About Around the Boundary
The Charities
We are raising much needed funds for two local charities Kidmore End Cricket Club and The Chris Bevington Foundation.
Kidmore End Cricket Club provide inclusive cricket for all ages and abilities with boys & girls starting from 5 years old. Everything is run by a hard working number of volunteers for the love of the game and local community. They are all proud to be putting on this event for you to enjoy.
Jeff Sheldon, Kidmore End Cricket Club Vice Chairman & Organiser said of Around The Boundary ‘I’m very excited to have such great foodies and musicians at the cricket club for a cause that’s so close and important to us. It’s all about building for the community and continued provision of a top class sports and leisure destination’
Local resident Jez Felwick runs The Bowler Meatballs food truck and is curating the food at the event. Jez is excited to be working on a community focused event which has ambition, quality & a wide appeal, as it will be a key fundraiser for local charities, as well as a new charity he is involved in setting up called The Chris Bevington Foundation.
Chris Bevington, was the British man who was tragically killed in the Stockholm Terror Attack on 7th April 2017. Jez was Chris's best man and is the godfather to one of his sons. He worked for Spotify and loved music. The Chris Bevington Foundation is a charity set up in his name by his friends and family. We raise & distribute our funds to improve the lives of young people through the positive power of music. We are currently funding existing projects with youth/music charities. These include Reading charity Readipop, as well as Brighton based Rhythmix & Audioactive. We hope to be developing our own CBF projects with them if our fundraising is a success.
